First Posts

What does one say in their first blog post? Do I tell you who I am and what I want to do? Do I set goals and expectations for myself? I hate to do that because if somehow I don’t meet the expectations I place on myself, then I’m unlikely to keep using the blog. I do want this to be fun and I want to be able to post about anything that strikes my fancy. So I guess that is my goal, I want to have fun and maybe bring you along for the ride.

Why SloKnit? I love knitting, but I wouldn’t say it’s my only passion. There are so many things I love, that sometimes knitting gets pushed aside for a little while, I may get caught up in cooking, or a good book, I might (basket) weave for awhile, I could go for a bike ride, or I might even try to get some housework done (yeah, uh, right). If something else gets my attention I might not knit for a while, but I always come back to the needles and yarn. Projects might take a while to get done, or they might not get done at all, but for me the process is almost always more fun than the product. The end result of all of this is that I “knit slow”.
